Client: Arthur Aminoff, Kiinteistö Oy

Designed by Constantin Kieseleff, the Lydman House is one of the oldest brick buildings in Tammisaari. The two-storey residential and commercial building was completed on the edge of Town Hall Square in 1880. Many changes have been made to the building during the 20th century. Lydman’s house was protected in 1992.

It was decided to restore and restore the house mainly for residential use when it was acquired by a new owner in 2017. Extensive surface surveys were carried out indoors. Where possible, new materials, structures, and working methods were chosen to be compatible with the old building. The goal was healthiness, sustainability, and ecology, as well as the restoration of values of architectural and urban significance.
