Log sauna at Lake Päijänne
new building
Sysmä
A log sauna was constructed on the shore of Lake Päijänne, consisting of a sauna, a chamber, and a walkthrough cooling area. The sauna features a corner window and traditional benches. The chamber includes a large landscape window, with a deep ledge which also functions as a bench. A smaller window has a deep ledge that serves as a table.
Risto and Ari Koskinen worked as the timber carpenters for the project and the windows were made by Arne Rannaoja. The timbers were delivered by Tamminiemen Saha ja Höylä.
